Gain solid ground on the fundamentals of the world of photography. This beginner course covers well beyond the basics of your digital camera and exposure; it will help you create a solid foundation to start your photography journey.

Classes will consist of different topics each week, including the basics of digital post-processing. Students will be given weekly assignments and photo critiques, as well as in-class photo shoots which will further strengthen the techniques learned during each class. Weather permitting, some sessions may consist of shooting workshops around Chattanooga.

          Andrew Newlun, founder and CEO of Newtography LLC, has over a decade of experience in the world of digital media production. Having been an educator in the field for 6 years now, he has had the opportunity to add several world famous websites to his teaching resume. Such as F-stop Lounge, Visual Wilderness, Petapixel, and one of Time Magazines 50 best websites,

         In addition to online education, Andrew has had the privilege to teach digital media workshops around the world. In 2014 Andrew was brought on as an ambassador in the Google Helpouts education program. This opportunity to work for Google was presented to him after being recognized by the company for accumulating over 1 million views on YouTube where he produced a collection of free digital media education videos .

          Now married, he has brought his focus to delivering quality media services and education in the Chattanooga area. Specializing in photography & videography, he is proud to produce quality digital content for many of the leading brands in the Chattanooga area. In addition to his roles producing digital content, he is also the athletic director and varsity boys head coach for the Chattanooga Patriots Basketball Program. Being heavily involved as a group leader at City Church of Chattanooga and a leader in the City Students youth ministry program, Andrew enjoys constantly striving to leave a positive impact on his peers and upcoming generations of youth.
